Luke Mossey will make his British Superbike Championship debut at Donington BSB this weekend.

The former BSB race winner will fill in for Tom Neave on the Stauff Fluid Power Kawasaki team, part of the GR Motorsports setup.

Announcing his trip to Donington BSB, Mossi told Britishsuperbike.com: “I can’t wait to get back on track this weekend, especially with an established and professional team like GR Motosport. I’ve been with Kawasaki for five years and it was the bike I wanted to get back on If given the opportunity as I have always had a good experience with it.

“Now here is my chance at Donington Park, a track that has always been natural to me and I have had a great deal of success there – I have finished on the podium in every class I have raced at this track.”

Mossey was originally scheduled to join the L1 Racing team (formerly PR Racing) this year, but the team has not yet started the season.

“After not being on the grid so far this season, this weekend can’t come soon enough and I want to thank Brent and everyone at Stauff Fluid Power Kawasaki for getting me back to Donington Park,” Mossi said.

Tom Neff continues to recover from the injuries he sustained in the first round of the Navarra BSP. In the second round at Oulton Park, Neave was replaced by Eemeli Lahti.

Team owner Brent Gladwin said: “Tom is still on the road to recovery and although things are progressing very well, we are not quite there yet. After a discussion between Iain Stansbie from Stauff UK and Tom and I we decided to look for an alternative to Stauff Fluid Power Racing Kawasaki ZX-10RR Superbike is out for the races this weekend, and who better at Donington Park than Luke Mossey?

“Luke has great experience on the ZX-10 and has had some great results at Donington Park. “Luke will be working with my new team with him, but I feel he will adapt quickly and enjoy a good race weekend.”
