In France, Moffi continued his rich vein of form by scoring twice as Nice defeated Lens 3-1. The in-form striker’s brace took his Ligue 1 tally to nine goals for the campaign.
Over in Italy, Chukwueze finally opened his account for Milan with a quickfire double in their 3-1 victory at Hellas Verona.
It was a huge relief for the winger, whose first goals arrived after recent criticism.

There were also goals for Nigerian stars in the women’s game across Italy and the United States.
Juventus’ Joe Echegini scored her fifth of the season by netting as a substitute in their 3-3 draw with Inter Milan.
Her goal had put Juve 3-2 ahead before they were pegged back late on for a share of the spoils by the hosts.
In the NWSL, Asisat Oshoala wrote her name into the history books by scoring the first-ever goal for the new franchise Bay FC in their 1-0 win over Angel City.

Premier League sides had contrasting afternoons, with Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey both superb as Fulham thrashed Tottenham 3-0.

In Begamo, it was a no-show for AFCON hero Ademola Lookman and Atlanta as their match against Fiorentina was postponed.
