Barcelona has second place and a place in the Spanish Super Cup next season if it wins over Rayo Vallecano on Sunday evening. Xavi Hernandez’s side have won their last two matches (against Real Sociedad and Almería) and should welcome back Ronald Araujo from injury as they move three ahead on the trot.

Araujo has missed the last two games due to discomfort in his knee, causing him to miss practice for most of last week. Fortunately, he returned to training on Saturday, suggesting he should be available to face Rayo at the Olympic Stadium.
It’s been a tough few weeks for Araujo, having been criticized for several high-profile fouls – none more so than the red card against Paris Saint-Germain. His future as a Barcelona player has also sparked huge speculation, and it is not certain that he could play his final matches in a Blaugrana shirt.
