Danny Kent becomes the first British Superbike rider to announce his plans for 2025 as he commits to McAMS Racing for next season.

McAMS Racing and Danny Kent at Thruxton have confirmed their partnership will continue through to the 2025 season. Kent joined McAMS Racing at the start of the 2024 season, a decision that has seen Kent stand on the podium four times in the first half of the season.

After six rounds, Kent is fifth in the BSB Championship, his best performance in the championship since joining Team Suzuki in 2022. The 30-year-old has become a consistent rider in Superbike races this season on the Yamaha R1.

“I am very excited to continue working with McAMS Racing through to 2025,” said Kent. “I have a great relationship with the team, so I look forward to seeing their progress in another season on track.

“It was always my intention to continue with the same team. There is still a lot to come for me and the bike, but so far this year we have done a great job. We will focus on the rest of the 2024 season and continue to learn and improve as the year goes on.

“The hunt for our first race win is still on, and I’m confident we can add it to our calendar before the end of the season, along with some additional podiums too.”

Team owner Tim Martin added: “There is still a lot to play for in 2024. We have been looking at our options for next year and are pleased to announce that Danny will continue with us for another year.

“I am confident that together we will be able to build on the progress we have already made during the first half of the year. Hopefully we can continue that throughout the rest of the season and push ourselves towards the top of the championship.”
