McCormack’s Roadhouse Macau by FHO team expands, adds O’Siochru for 2024 TT

The Roadhouse Macau by FHO Racing team will expand to a two man rider line-up for the 2024 Isle of Man TT with Brian McCormack being joined by TT newcomer Eoin O’Siochru.

The duo will compete in all four solo classes with support from TT lap record holders FHO Racing and Peter Hickman’s PHR Performance arm.

In the Superbike and Superstock categories, McCormack and O’Siochru will race BMW M 1000 RRs before reverting to the Triumph STR765 package in Supersport prepared by PHR Performance and identical to the machine Hickman will ride in the intermediate segment. They will then campaign the Aprilia RS660 in the Supertwins class.

“Last year’s TT went ok for me but I’m looking for more in 2024,” said McCormack, who has a personal best speed of 127.240mph achieved in 2019.

. I had some solid, consistent results but things didn’t really click for me. It wasn’t through the lack of trying and with 2022 not being great either, I’m delighted to have everyone’s support again and be heading back this year with new machinery.”

“The aim is top 10 finishes like we got in 2018 and 2019. Last time on the TT Course was at the Manx Grand Prix where I had a good race and was challenging for the podium on the Classic Superbike, so I’m confident we can get back in the top 10 at the TT.”

“I don’t like to set goals, but I know where I need to improve so hopefully I’ll get it all together this year as the TT is the main event of the year for both the team and me. Our whole season is built around it, so with both Ciaran [Carruthers – owner of the Roadhouse Macau bar] and myself looking to bring in a second rider, that’s what we’ve done.”

TT newcomer O’Siochru makes his debut after getting his first taste of the Mountain Course during the 2022 Manx Grand Prix. Since then, the 32-year old has been cutting his road racing teeth in the Irish National Road Races in preparation for his first TT attempts.

“I spoke to Brian for the first time properly at last year’s Manx where he was a great help. He must have kept an eye on my performances over the week because we kept in contact after that, and then on New Year’s Day I got a message from him asking if I wanted to join the team and, to be honest, I thought it was a bit of a joke! But it’s all gone from there.”

“The TT’s been an absolute dream of mine for as long as I can remember, and when I first visited the Island and saw the bikes go by I knew it was what I wanted to do. 

“The package that Brian’s putting together is really impressive so getting to do the TT this year with a team as professional as Roadhouse Macau and with an experienced rider as Brian is something that I can only have dreamed of, and I’m still pinching myself now trying to believe it’s true! I just can’t wait to get going.”
